RVA Peer Consultation Group

Support one another as we grow.

1 hWhite Stone Counseling Center

Service Description

It's all too easy to become siloed as a mental health professional. We invest so much time and energy into direct contact hours with our clients that we can feel overwhelmed with the thought of finding time for things that help us become better clinicians. It can be even more challenging to make the financial investment required. The goal of this consultation group is to provide a cost-free time where we can come together to discuss cases, learn from one another, explore new ideas, see our work with fresh eyes, and feed our passion for the service that we love to provide to our clients. This group welcomes topics such as specific case discussions, developments in the field of mental healthcare, applying new techniques or modalities, countertransference, and individual experiences of professional development, to name a few. The environment is low-pressure and informal. Everyone who participates is not expected to have a case to present but should be prepared to do their part in engaging in the conversation and be willing to contribute to the quality of our time together. Please feel free to bring business cards or any other information that would be helpful to provide to other participants. Light refreshments, coffee, and tea will be provided.
